Test Automation Engineer
We're looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join a globally established supply chain technology company that develops and continuously enhances its own business-critical software platforms. As part of its growing Engineering Hub in Budapest, you'll have the opportunity to shape QA practices, expand test automation, and contribute to the quality of products that support a global business.
What you'll do
- Design, develop and maintain automated test solutions for web applications, APIs and business platforms
- Perform manual, exploratory, regression and integration testing where automation is not yet available
- Build and improve test automation frameworks and reusable test assets
- Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, Architects and DevOps teams throughout the development lifecycle
- Validate new features, investigate defects and support release readiness
- Participate in backlog refinement and help identify quality risks early
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests
- Help establish QA best practices and mentor less experienced QA Engineers
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
- Strong hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing
- Experience with modern automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or Appium
- Programming experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Python or Java
- Experience with API testing and SQL
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices
- Strong analytical thinking and excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Confident English language knowledge
Nice to have
- Experience with enterprise applications
- Mobile test automation
- Performance testing
- Experience within supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, e-commerce or other B2B environments
